HEATHENS LOOKING FOR FOURS GLORY

Friday July 12, 2019
CRADLEY make the short trip to Stoke on Saturday – and they’re looking to give loyal fans something to cheer!

It’s been a torrid time for the club this season with the Anchor Logistics Heathens struggling for a winning run and in danger of missing out on a play-off place.

But they can win national silverware when they race in the National League Fours at Loomer Road.

Skipper Max Clegg said: “We’ve been struggling of late, but if we all ride to our true ability there is no reason why we can’t achieve a good result at Stoke.

“We’ve got a strong top end to this side and we can go to Stoke with no pressure and give it everything we’ve got.

“The Cradley fans are brilliant and I’m sure they’ll take plenty of support to Stoke, they always seem to.”

Cradley are in Group A with Leicester, hosts Stoke and the Isle of Wight. The meeting parade is 6.30pm and the first heat is 6.45pm.

A host of attractions are lined up with a live band, bouncy castle, face painting and a rider signing session.

Admission is £15 for adults, concessions £10 and children 15 and under go free with programmes £2.50.
TEAM: Max Clegg, Jack Smith, Danny Halsey, Tom Spencer, Harry McGurk (Reserve).
