RACEDAY PREVIEW

Wednesday September 18, 2019
CRADLEY head to Belle Vue’s brilliant National Speedway Stadium tonight (7.30).

They go into the Cup semi-final six points down from Monday’s first leg at Monmore.

But boss Will Pottinger insists his side will give it their all – and he’s telling them to go out and enjoy the experience if possible.

“We know the size of the task ahead,” he said. “And all I ask is that the boys give it their all and enjoy the experience of riding at such a brilliant venue.

“It goes without saying we are massive underdogs and we have to stay positive and see what we can do.

“We have riders like Max Clegg and Jack Smith who we know can beat anyone in this league on any given track.”

Connor Coles replaces the injured Danny Halsey and Tom Spencer is out with concussion so the rider replacement facility will be in use.

Meanwhile the Anchor Logistics Heathens are waiting on the result of Plymouth v Mildenhall on Thursday to know whether they make the play-offs.

Monday’s win against Kent has given them a chance and Mildenhall need to claim four league points in Devon.

BELLE VUE: Kyle Bickley, Connor Bailey, Jordan Palin, Danny Phillips, Leon Flint, Ben Rathbone, Ben Woodhull.
CRADLEY: Max Clegg, Jack Smith, Tom Spencer R/R, Luke Harris, Connor Coles, Harry McGurk, James Chattin.
